In Wolf Moon Rising: Next Phase, Tom Hunt's world splinters as he lies in a coma, his mind caught in a vivid hallucination where he hikes the Appalachian Trail and argues with his doctor. What he doesn't realize is that his brain is fighting to heal itself through these strange and elaborate visions. At the same time, Dr. Patrick Kearney struggles to make sense of this medical mystery, digging into cutting-edge research on neuroplasticity; however, Tom's condition pushes past every known scientific boundary. His reality defies reason, drawing us into the depths of metaphysical consciousness to unravel what is happening inside Tom's mind.Tom's haunting visions teach profound lessons about resilience, self-awareness, and the nature of reality. His first vision is the story of Cabot, a 17th-century Irish slave/indentured servant battling for survival and love in colonial Virginia. The second is the story of Tara, a woman trying to carve out a living during the prohibition in Boston, Massachusetts. And lastly, the story of Tom, a baseball player turned soldier fighting during the American-Spanish War over Cuba.Woven together, these lives form a powerful narrative that spans centuries, exploring the strength of the human spirit and the mind's mysterious ability to heal and even reshape its own destiny.
