Show Me How: I can Play Paint - Petra Boase

This title offers arty activities for kids, shown step by step. It features 16 great ideas for creating wonderful paint projects using everyday materials. It introduces all the basic painting techniques, including finger painting, flick painting, marbling, using stencils, blottography, block printing, sponging, and much more. You can make star and moon gift wrapping, pretty Christmas crackers, a caterpillar from painted stones, vegetable-print T-shirts, and a spotty dog-bone picture frame. It comes with clear step-by-step photographs and fun finished pictures for every project. Children love to play and experiment with paints of all types. Petra Boase uses this fascination to lead youngsters through a teaching course that will show them all the basic skills they need. Painting is fun, but it does not necessarily mean standing at an easel creating a picture of what you can see - though you can do that too if you want! The projects include a marbled pencil pot, finger-painted flowers, block-printed stationery and a family of wooden spoon puppets - making this the perfect starter book for ages 3-7.
