A Year of Thanksgiving - Kathi Owens

The month of November is always seen as the month of Thanksgiving, the month to be thankful for everything you have and everything that has been given to you throughout the year. But what if you could have that mindset of thanksgiving every day of the year?In A Year of Thanksgiving, author Kathi Owens gives readers an inspirational devotional that celebrates the daily blessings showered upon us by God every day. Knowing that we can overlook the small blessings God gives us in our day, focusing instead on the more noticeable ones, Kathi presents a devotional that helps us to recognize all blessings every day. Each devotional message begins with a chosen Scripture verse, which is expounded upon with the author’s message in the devotional and then followed by a journaling section. There is also a daily reading guide to aid readers in navigating through the treasures of the Bible in one year. The idea to create her own devotional of thankfulness began when Kathi noticed each November that social media sites challenged people to post each day on what they were thankful for. Thinking more on the concept, Kathi realized that one could count even more blessings from God than one for each day in November, so she began taking notes while studying her Bible and this book emerged. As readers read each day of A Year of Thanksgiving, Kathi hopes the devotional uplifts and encourages readers to take a moment each day and share thankfulness to God for the blessings He has given. Whether the list can be pages long or just a few short thoughts, the reward is knowing that you have given thanks to the God who loves and adores you.
