Every Christmas, gifts are given with love and received with joy. Yet behind all the giving lies a far greater gift - one that has been transforming lives for over two thousand years. What makes this gift so extraordinary? And why is it still offered today?Discover the story behind the greatest gift of all. In 'The Gift', the familiar Christmas challenge of finding the right present becomes a way of exploring the extraordinary gift at the heart of Christmas. A meaningful gift is personal, practical, permanent and purchased - four simple ideas that open up the significance of God's gift of Jesus. Drawing on key passages from the Bible, 'The Gift' explores how God knows and loves us personally, offers forgiveness and a new beginning, gives the hope of eternal life, and paid an extraordinary price to make that gift possible. Warm, engaging and beautifully illustrated throughout, 'The Gift' presents the Christian message in a clear and accessible way. It is ideal for those exploring Christianity, those with little previous knowledge of the Christian faith, and anyone wanting to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas. More than something to unwrap, this is a gift to be received - one that can change our hearts, reshape our lives and transform our future.
