Corvus Ascending - Dale Sale

A fast-moving space opera featuring a wisecracking star sailor, an ancient AI starship, a ragtag crew of misfits, and hard-hitting naval combat. Retirement lasted about five minutes. Gus Johansson expected fishing, cheap drinks, and a quiet life on the backwater world of Terne. Instead he hauls a 1,400-year-old repair bot out of the ocean—and discovers the Imperial starship it’s spent centuries repairing beneath the sea. Gus suddenly owns the most valuable ship in the system. Captain Harrison “Hazy†Grey wants it. Capturing the vessel could earn him an Admiral’s flag, and he doesn’t care who he has to kill to get it. Unfortunately for Grey, Gus has a plan. With a sentient ship’s AI, an ancient repair bot, and a growing crew of smugglers, lawyers, miners, and misfits, Gus takes Corvus into space. Grey responds with a modern warship, superior firepower, and a personal vendetta. Corvus Ascending is Book 1 in the Matrian Trilogy series. Perfect for readers who love Jack Campbell, B.V. Larson, and character-driven military space opera filled with action, humour, and found-family crews. ___________________________________________________________________Praise for the Matrian Trilogy:? ? ? ? ?
