Faceoff - Rebecca Connolly

A clean friends-to-lovers hockey romance between a newly signed pro and the graduate student he's known for years but never truly seen. Warm reunions, heartfelt conversations and slow-building chemistry, in a series spun off from a beloved baseball world. New Team. New City. A Familiar Face He Can’t Stop Thinking About. Clint McCarthy has finally achieved his dream of playing professional hockey, and he's eager to make his mark with his new team. While settling into his new city, he crosses paths with Bree Stone, whom he's known for years through their brothers in the famed Belltown Six Pack. But for the life of him, Clint can’t remember Bree ever being so captivating. Or taking over his every waking thought. In the middle of her graduate degree, Bree has no time for a dating life. The impossibly handsome hockey player coming back into her orbit complicates everything, and she shouldn’t be focusing on him while her professional future is on the line. But once she hears about Clint’s history with the Northbrook Hockey Elite program, and where that program stands now, Bree just might find a way to bring her career, and something more, to life. Faceoff is the first book in the Northbrook Hockey Elite series, a clean and uplifting sports romance, for readers who love friends-to-lovers reunions, hockey heroes, driven heroines and interconnected small-world series. Perfect for fans of Sarah Adams, Sally Thorne and Lauren Layne. Praise for the Northbrook Hockey Elite series? ? ? ? ? I loved the Belltown series which was romance with a side of baseball, now we get romance with a side of hockey. ? ? ? ? ? Their meet-cute was believable and fun and her roommates were funny and helpful to the story. ? ? ? ? ? This is a clean sports romance that features siblings of the Bell Town Six and more. We get to catch up on all the previous characters and meet new ones to set up this new series. ? ? ? ? ? Rebecca Connolly is so good at writing a clean and swoony story with a likeable cast of characters. ? ? ? ? ? I laughed and giggled at this story- it was so cute!? ? ? ? ? Whether you are a fan of hockey or not, don't hesitate to read this book. ? ? ? ? ? I would recommend this to anyone who loves sports and a good romantic read.
