Silent as the Dead - Hunter Scott

A missing wife. A ruthless trap. A detective hunted on his home turf. DCI Brendan Moran returns to Ireland after an urgent call from an old friend—his wife has vanished without a trace. But what begins as a missing person case takes a sinister turn when Moran finds a dead man in the boot of his own car. With the body linked to a violent past Moran hoped was behind him, suspicion lands fast. Pursued by shadowy figures and boxed in by local police, Moran must chase a lead that points to a high-profile attack in the UK—and to the man who once nearly broke him. Stripped of support and battling pain he can’t outrun, Moran must face the past before it silences him for good. Silent as the Dead is the fourth novel in The Irish Detective: DCI Brendan Moran series—a gritty British detective mystery perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, and the Shetland TV series. _____________________________________________________Praise for The Irish Detective: DCI Brendan Moran series:? ? ? ? ?
