Bloodaxe - Tony Bakkejord

A Viking historical adventure of ambition, betrayal, and the rise of a king they would come to fear. A prince born to rule. A warrior destined to be feared. Eirik Haraldsson is the favourite son of King Harald Fairhair—and the heir to a kingdom forged in blood. From the moment he is given his first command at eleven, Eirik proves he is not just his father’s successor, but something far more dangerous. Years of raiding shape him into a ruthless warrior. Victories build his power. And at his side stands Gunnhild—cunning, relentless, and every bit as ambitious as he is. Together, they will stop at nothing to claim the throne. As Eirik rises, so does the cost. Half-brothers turn into enemies. Jarls plot against him. Kings across Norway and beyond prepare for war. Even England stands in his path. To rule, Eirik must destroy every rival who dares to challenge him. And earn the name history will never forget. Bloodaxe. Bloodaxe is a fast-paced Viking adventure filled with brutal battles, political intrigue, and a relentless rise to power—perfect for readers of Bernard Cornwell, Peter Gibbons, and Tim Hodkinson. ___________________________________________________________________Praise for the Vikings Of Norway Series:? ? ? ? ?
