How Come? - William McIntyre

A legal thriller of an unaccounted-for body, a missing woman tied to a powerful family, and a case echoing a seventeenth-century witch trial. Some questions don’t have good answers. This one has too many. When a funeral director discovers an unaccounted-for body in her basement, she turns to Robbie Munro for help making it disappear. At the same time, a wealthy corporate raider wants Robbie to find his missing stepdaughter. It doesn’t take long for Robbie to realise they may be asking about the same person. As the case unfolds, unsettling links emerge between the present day and a centuries-old witch trial. The parallels are hard to ignore. The timing is worse. With his father’s new girlfriend complicating matters and the facts refusing to line up, Robbie is left trying to piece together something that shouldn’t fit. Because this time, it’s not just the case that’s strange. It’s how far back it reaches. How Come? is Book 13 in the Robbie Munro Legal Thriller series. Perfect for readers who love John Grisham, Scott Turow, and Michael Connelly. ___________________________________________________________________Praise for the Best Defence Series: ? ? ? ? ?
