Death Walks Behind You - Hunter Scott

A missing woman. A vanished body. A village that closes ranks. DCI Brendan Moran heads to the West Country for a quiet break, but Cernham is no ordinary village. When one woman disappears and another is found dead—only for the body to vanish—Moran’s instincts won’t let him walk away. The locals are evasive. The woods press in. And as Moran digs deeper, he uncovers a troubling pattern of past disappearances no one wants to revisit. Meanwhile, back in Berkshire, his own team faces a rising threat that could shatter everything he's built. What began as a peaceful retreat spirals into a deadly investigation—with danger on both sides of the county line. Death Walks Behind You is the third novel in The Irish Detective: DCI Brendan Moran series—a gritty British detective mystery perfect for fans of Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, and the Shetland TV series. _________________________________________________________The Irish Detective: DCI Brendan Moran Crime Thriller Series:? ? ? ? ?
