BANKHAUS - Neil Giarratana

Anulka Lorenzini runs the Wealth Management Division at Bankhaus Finsler, a discreet private bank in Zurich-where fortunes are protected, and secrets are buried. Many of her clients inhabit a shadow world of hidden, ill-gotten wealth, and Anulka has long harbored a quiet contempt for the system she serves. Then she meets Giovanni Poggio.Charismatic and dangerous, Giovanni recognizes the fault line beneath her polished exterior-and exploits it. He draws her into a scheme as simple as it is audacious: siphon millions from dormant accounts using a phantom client. The payoff is irresistible. The risk, unthinkable. At first, it works. Millions disappear without a trace. But as the total climbs past €13 million, Anulka sees the truth: there is no clean way out. She shuts the operation down-only to discover that her partners have no intention of letting her walk away.Desperate to break free, she makes a fatal choice. To repay what's owed and buy her freedom, she launches a second, even more dangerous fraud-this time pulling in Felix Hofmaier, a compromised consultant with everything to lose. But the deeper Anulka goes, the tighter the trap becomes. Her partners escalate their demands, their threats turning lethal. Cornered and furious, she stops playing by anyone else's rules. What began as quiet contempt ignites into something far darker-driving her into a ruthless game of deception, betrayal, and revenge where survival may come at the ultimate cost.
