Granny Square Crochet: Quilt Blocks - Laura Strutt

Crochet CLASSIC QUILT BLOCKS such as the Half Square Triangle, Eight-Point Star and Log Cabin. Suitable for COMPLETE BEGINNERS through to EXPERIENCED CROCHETERS. As well as being on-trend, traditional quilt-style crochet blocks are satisfying to make and only require a few basic stitches. Find out how to make 36 blocks, from basic one-square patterns and seamed blocks with four, nine and sixteen squares to colourwork patterns. Some blocks have two styles to choose from – one made in the granny-square technique and another which gives a ‘solid’ effect without spaces. The projects section features 10 inspiring designs to make using the blocks, including a Trio of Cushions, a Flying Geese Scarf, a Patchwork Kimono Cardigan, an Orange Peel Bag and a stunning Sampler Blanket. Also included is advice on how to personalise the projects using your own choice of blocks and different weights of yarn, plus a techniques section with all the stitches and finishing skills you’ll need.Â
