Little Lucy & Her Little White Lies - Leigha Huggins

Encourage honesty in your child! Why do children lie? To avoid getting in trouble, of course! Children need to feel comfortable and safe to tell their parents if they did something wrong, and it's parents' responsibility to ensure the trust is established, and that honesty is always rewarded.Little Lucy has a secret that she's too embarrassed about to share with her mom... So, she starts making up little "white lies" to cover it up. But, as it often happens when you try to hide the truth, little lies get bigger and bigger until they grow into a giant mess. In this creative whirlwind of rhyming and make-believe events, Lucy realizes a lot of trouble can be avoided by just telling the truth. The combination of a real-life situation and an outlandish story creates a delightful and entertaining read that both children and parents can relate to while sharing a lesson about honesty they can both understand. Here, at Puppy Dogs & Ice Cream, we believe that children's books are more than just stories - they're vessels of inspiration, education, and imagination.
