That Gentle Whisper - Bill Cahusac

A thundering from the skies? An inner knowing, a quiet certainty? The God of the Bible is a God who speaks, who spoke the world itself into being; his word is powerful and it will accomplish what he sends it to do. Our God promises to speak to us, to be found by us when we seek him with all our heart. But how? What is God’s voice actually like? So often, in our noisy world, we struggle to listen, to recognise when he’s speaking. Can we really expect to ‘hear’ him today?Yes, we can, argues Bill Cahusac, our Father God loves to communicate with us, and it can be as natural to encounter his voice at a football match or the supermarket checkout, as it can be in a church or a prayer room. This beautiful book explores important and difficult questions surrounding prophecy. Vulnerable, funny, and entirely relatable, Bill takes us on a journey of his experience. Hearing that gentle whisper, he says, comes from spending time with God in his word and in worship.
