Reiki - Carmen Fernandez

Reiki, a Japanese word pronounced ray-key, can be translated to mean universal life force, or universally guided energy. It is a very simple system of healing, carried out by placing hands on or over a person (who is always clothed), or animal or plant, with the intent to channel Reiki. It can also be sent, as absent healing, over distance and even through time. Reiki heals on all levels, physically, mentally and spiritually, and supports the body's natural ability to heal itself. It is a non-confrontational form of healing, soothing away many different troubles and traumas in a very gentle way. It is also nondenominational, practised by people of many different religions and cultures. You don't need to commit to a belief system in order to channel Reiki, or enjoy its benefits; all you need is the desire to heal and be healed. This practical book by a Reiki master, with clear advice and step-by-step guidance, serves as a valuable introduction to all aspects of Reiki for those who aspire to feel its healing energy and universal love, and to inspire those who already enjoy the balancing effects of this all-embracing, healing art.
