Modern Toss: Space 1982 - Jon Link

Amid the turbulent unrest of the early 80's the UK's borstal system on Planet Earth reached full capacity and a scheme was developed by the government to move overspill to the moon. This is it's story. Welcome to Space 1982 - a brutal, pitch-black, and hilariously bleak graphic novel from Modern Toss. Think Scum meets Star Trek, but with more laughs. Featuring Modern Toss's signature deadpan humour, bleak social commentary, and an unhealthy amount of swearing, Space 1982 is a must-read for fans of gritty sci-fi, British satire, and stories about authority figures on the moon getting told to stick it up their arse. Set in an alternate 1982, this retro-futuristic graphic novel blends lo-fi sci-fi aesthetics with the signature absurdity and razor-sharp wit of Modern Toss. Each 24 page installment is packed with ongoing bust ups between the inmates and the screws as they ruck over precious resources like oven chips, crispy pancakes and cigarettes. Perfect for fans of dystopian comedy, bleak British humour, and anyone who still dreams of the future they were promised in the '80s. Space 1982 - A warning from the past, set in the future, delivered in the present. Sign yourself up yeah?
