Bassett's Blades - Danny Hall, Nathan Hemmingham

By the time Dave 'Harry' Bassett swept through the doors in 1988 as the new manager, Sheffield United was a club going nowhere. Crowds were low, money was lower and any optimism amongst the fanbase had long since been spent up. Things got worse before they got better, with the Blades relegated in Bassett's first season in charge before he really put his stamp on the club. What followed was a rollercoaster ride of back-to-back promotions, against-the-odds survivals and a remarkable era of success that means its main protagonists are still fondly remembered at Bramall Lane to this day. For the first time, using exclusive interviews and extensive research, Bassett's Blades charts the inside story of that era through the games, characters and stories that define a generation.
