The book is designed to be accessible and socially conscious, asking the question – are we creating or consuming? – and looking at what that means in the context of introducing a spiritual and artistic practice. The seven chapters all speak to the seven chakras, and the book takes the reader on a journey through the self as they explore the various ways they can generate feelings of self-love through art and self-care. Each chapter explores how that creative energy of that chakra can be explored in the physical world, with drawing practices, watercolour practices, and gentle crafts. Throughout, Sandy’s unique wisdom and perspective guide the reader on a journey of calming creative discovery towards a sense of peace, while learning new skills or brushing up on dormant ones.Perfect for people who want to explore their creativity through a mindfulness lens, Creative Calm is beginner-friendly and full of inspiring projects to help more experienced creators stretch their artistic muscles and find a new sense of joy and peace in the moment through art.
